| Biography: |
Was born in Mexico but early on moved to the United States for a better life as many other families have. I have had the pleasure of watching my family grow in spirit and financially over the years. This has not come easy, I have worked in the fields since it was permitted when I was in middle school. Every summer was a tedious one, first a trip to Oregon to pick cherries, followed by picking peaches, then ending the summer by picking olives.
I have been blessed with awesome parents that have always pushed me to go further with my education. I once heard a speech where someone said when ever you see a rich person that you think about the someone in their family who at one point had to make a "jump" to go further than the last and that we too could be that person in our family that takes our family further. I hope to one day be the person who made the "jump" to something greater and was able to help my family from living paycheck to paycheck. |

| Farmworking Background: |
I have sorted and picked peaches every Summer since middle school. I have also traveled to Oregon to pick peaches several years. During the Fall I have always helped my parents by picking olives during the weekends when i don't have school. Both of my parents have worked in the fields and are still working in the fields which I hope someday I can help them get better jobs. |
